• Secure Server (SSL) - In order to take advantage of our secure server, simply change:
  http:// to https:// in the URL when accessing your site or creating internal links within your web pages.
  
  

• Advanced Web Usage Reports - An Advanced web usage statistics service is available to produce reports based on your web site traffic.

• MySQL Database - MySQL Database services are available if you have a web project that requires database access. Database Set Up
  
  

• phpMyAdmin - If you have set-up a MySQL database (see above) then you may like to use phpMyAdmin to administer it.
  
  

• SSH access - It is also possible to SSH to web.nmsu.edu and edit your web pages directly on the server. ssh web.nmsu.edu web.nmsu.edu
  
  

• CGI scripting is now supported on Web.NMSU.Edu as of 12-21-2007. We use Apache SuExec which runs your scripts out of your public_html/cgi-bin directory. Your scripts are executed as your userid for security purposes.
