Brian's first ride in a hot air balloon at the
Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally
gave him the "Balloon Bug" back in January 2001. He was so excited to be up in the sky, that he had to learn how to
fly. Brian and his family got in contact with an instructor, Harold Connell, and started getting lessons in
Chimera. After a number of lessons, Brian and his family decided that they wanted our own balloon, and found
Pegasus. To learn more about Pegasus and see her pictures, click on the tab below. The active tab
will change color.
After finally receiving his private pilot's certificate in April 2003, Brian's parents bought Harold's
Chimera, since he had purchased Enchanted (can be viewed on our
Ballooning Friends page). To learn more about
Chimera and see her pictures, click on the tab below.
In 2004, Dan Erhard, Harold, and Brian went in together to buy the one-man cloudhopper named
Spirit of Arizona. To learn more about Spirit and see her
pictures, click on the tab below.
