College Assistance Migrant Program

BENEFITS

  • Housing: Students reside in a Living Learning Community,an assigned floor within a recidence hall on the campus of NMSU.

  • Meal plans: Provided by the university dining.

  • Health exams: Provided by the university student health center, one comprehensive health exam (optional).

  • Textbook stipend: Contingent upon funding.

  • Training stipend: To assist with any educational expenses that financial aid may not cover.

  • Individualized academic advising services: provided by CAMP and NMSU staff.

  • Tutoring Services: Free of charge, to assist in the successful completion of coursework.

  • Emotional and social support and referrals for professional counseling on campus: Done through CAMP leadership training workshops, peer mentoring and CAMP staff.

  • Opportunities for integration into college life: Through linkages to campus resources to help you succeed.

  • Involvement in celebrations, cultural events and NMSU activities: Including CAMP meetings, family functions, community service, projects and free cultural events.

  • Career Assessments, Exploration and Resume Assistance: Through NMSU workshops and CAMP staff.
