Instructions. Please take a few minutes to complete and submit this form. Thank you for requesting Online Writing Center services. We are more than happy to process your request. To get started, we ask that you specify and comment on the variety of writing assistance that you prefer. You can complete and submit this online form with 1) comments, 2) a copy of your draft work, and 3) a summary or copy of your assignment criteria (if applicable).

  • STEP 1. SELECT HELP AREAS.
    • Select 2-4 topics from the listing of 12 Writing Assistance Areas below.
    • Comment on the variety of writing assistance that you prefer to receive input on. Write your comments in the Comments field located below the Checkboxes.

    WRITING ASSISTANCE AREAS

  • Required Field. Based on your selection, provide comments on concerns, strengths, weakness, and on what improvements you seek to make in the Comments field below.

  • STEP 2. BROWSE TO UPLOAD A DRAFT FILE.
    Please click Browse to select your draft document for uploading. Note: Check that your file is saved as a Microsoft Word file with a Word document extension (.doc or .docx). You can also send a file that has the rich text format (.rtf) extension. However, please do not send files with extensions from any other word processing program (e.g., wps.).

  • STEP 3. ADD ASSIGNMENT CRITERIA.
    If applicable, summarize your assignment criteria in the Criteria Summary field below or use the Upload a File feature to select a file copy of your assignment criteria. Note: Select only files with one of the following extensions: .pdf .doc .docx .rtf .txt. You can also use the Web Site field to add a relevant link or source about your particular assignment.

  • STEP 4. ADDITIONAL STEP FOR THESES & DISSERTATIONS.
    If you are submitting a thesis or dissertation excerpt, please include a brief account of your Research Aims and arguments in the field below.

  • STEP 5. CLICK CONTINUE TO REVIEW YOUR RESPONSES.
