relevant to understanding diversity in healthcare, and cultural profiles
on various ethnic groups. Thirty case studies of conflicts and misunderstandings
in healthcare settings are excerpted from the author's book. The case

- A project of the University of Illinois, the site appears to be aimed
to U of I students, and consists primarily of a set of links for African
Americans, Asian/Pacific Islanders, Gays and Lesbians, Latino/a, Native
Americans, Women, students w/ disabilities, and international students'
health issues. Most links appear in the center frame, however some information
appears in the right frame, therefore visitors to the site should keep
an eye on the whole page. This design has led to an inconsistent arrangement

- Cultural competency is vital to health care and NCCC's mission "provides national leadership and contributes to the body of knowledge on cultural and linguistic competence within systems and organizations." The Center sponsers research projects, provides assessment tools, information about finding consultants, cultural brokering, curricula enhancement modules, and many other tools and resources (some in Spanish.)
