Tutorial Presentation

The tutorial presentation will be a group presentation about the following subjects:

1-The experience of working in a group/ group dynamics
2-Project goals/Design choices that your group made when drafting the tutorial in terms of the stakeholders of your communication
3-How usability testing affected your final draft
4-Lessons learned during this project

Generally, the presentation will last 20 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions. I suggest that each member of the group pick a particular topic from the list above and present on it for about 5 minutes. To prevent overlap, make sure to practice with your group so you know which person will talk about what subject. Also time your talk so it does not run over (for the most part, we have a tight schedule to adhere to during these presentations, so it’s important). Also make sure to show up on time so we can get started on time.

The presentation will be done through Powerpoint, and should in general give a coherent picture of how your group went about creating the tutorial and the reasons/motivations behind the visual and textual organization of your final tutorial. Because Powerpoint allows for visual accompaniment of examples, I strongly encourage your group to think about how you can visually illustrate the points you want to make about your tutorial, and incorporate screenshots of your tutorial (on your screen, press the PrT Scrn button, go to your Powerpoint presentation, right mouse-click and select Paste).

Grading Criteria:

During the presentation, I will grade on these following things:

1.Clear structure of presentation segments (introduction, body, conclusion)
2.Clear distribution of presentation topics and who will talk about what (i.e. introduce who will talk about what)

4.Clarity of group dynamics/tasks
5.Clarity of project objectives/ goals/ solutions and how these were realized in terms of stakeholders
