About ISA

Welcome to the official home page of The Indian Student Association (ISA), one of the largest non-profit and socio-cultural student organizations - run primarily by Indian students under the guidance of a faculty advisor - at New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, NM. The main motive of ISA is to create a social network of graduate students, promote cultural awareness and foster appreciation of Indian history amongst our members and the NMSU campus community. ISA believes in unity through diversity, working with various cultural, religious, and performance-based organizations to promote the many talented students of NMSU.

The commitment, support, and voluntary participation of students in organizing events and the friendly atmosphere created by ISA members are the biggest strengths of ISA. An unconditional enthusiasm and dogged determination of ISA members are the true inspiration to strive towards the integrity of strong values with a western outlook. This never ending motivation of students has helped in incubating ISA as a successful student organization of NMSU.

Also, ISA offers its services to all prospective students with the know-how of graduate life at NMSU. Several of ISA members are active volunteers/coordinators in social service organizations such as VOICE AGAINST CANCER and community outreach events such as CULTURAL BAZAR. This organization is open to all New Mexico State University graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, staff, and faculty who are interested in sharing the joy of the Indian heritage and culture. ISA hopes to provide an unceasing insight into India and welcomes all to join ISA in the upcoming cultural shows, philanthropy initiatives, and various social events.

Information about upcoming events will be posted as they are being planned throughout the year, and if you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact ISA.
