DAY 1- Depart U.S./Arrive San Salvador, El Salvador
DAY 2- Tour San Salvador by bus, stopping at the gallery of artist Fernando LLort and his mosaic installation on the Catedral Metropolitano in the central plaza, Visit Joya de Cerén Archaeological Site, Drive to Copán, Honduras
DAY 3- Listen to presentation by archaelogist David Sedat, Visit Copán Ruins and Las Sepulturas
DAY 4- Drive to Guatemala City and on to Antigua, Guatemala, Take walking tour of Antigua
DAY 5- Visit Local School in San Luis Pueblo Nuevo and have Home-Hosted Lunch with student Jose Miguel and his family/ Tour and Shop at Casa de Jade
DAY 6- Take Chicken Bus with locals to Santa Maria de Jesus, Visit small weekly market and taste some local produce,Tour museums at old monastery of Santo Domingo, Lunch on patio
DAY 7- Visit coffee plantation and Cultural Center La Azotea, Transfer to Panajachel on Lake Atitlán
DAY 8- Boat ride on Lake Atitlán, Travel by Tuk Tuks to see traveling shrine to Maximón, Shop at Local Market in Santiago Atitlán, Visit Weaving Families in San Antonia Palopo, Lunch at lakeside restaurant
DAY 9- Drive to Guatemala City, Visit women's educational cooperative, Explore scale model of Guatemala's topography created in 1904
DAY 10- Fly to Flores (5:30am), Tour Isla Flores, Explore Towns around Lake Petén-Itza, Swim and Relax at Villa Maya
DAY 11- Wake for Sunrise hike to the top of Temple IV at Tikal, Explore Tikal Ruins and visit Museum
DAY 12- Travel to Mayan site at Yaxha, Picnic at ruins, Cross into Belize, Travel to Five Sisters' Lodge
DAY 13- Visit Mayan site at Caracol, Hike the Canna Temple (Sky Palace), Picnic at ruins, Ride the funicular (tram) down for a swim below the waterfalls
DAY 14- Drive to Belize City, Take water taxi to Ambergris Caye, Explore small town of San Pedro
DAY 15- Take boat out to snorkel at Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley
DAY 16- Take boat out to Tres Cocos and Mexico Rocks for more snorkeling, Relax at hotel pool, Shop for souvenirs
DAY 17- Fly by small plane from San Pedro to Belize City and then on to LA via Dallas
