WINE TASTING
Now that we have an idea what wine we are wanting, we need to know how to taste it. Tasting a wine is the most important step in learning about wines. A wine should please all of your senses when tasting (look, smell, taste and touch).
Look: The wine should be clear of particles and have a bright color.
- Smell: Basically a wine should smell appetizing. If it doesn’t smell right, then it isn’t good.
- Taste: Drown your taste buds and swirl it around in your mouth. Flavor is the key on learning what type you like.
- Touch: does the wine stick to your tongue when you are done. Is it a pleasing after-taste? Only you can be the judge.
