Biographical Information
John Taylor became the
Head Performance Training Professional at New Mexico State University
in 1992, prior to that he spent 3 years as an assistant football coach
and Special Teams coordinator for the Aggies. John came to New Mexico
State after serving as an assistant football coach and physical education
Instructor at the University of Nebraska Kearney. He played football
at the University of Wyoming (1980-84).
John is professionally
active, his professional contributions and recognitions include;

• Co-authored a
chapter in the third addition of the Essentials of Strength Training
and Conditioning text

John is an adjunct instructor
in Human Performance Recreation and Dance Department. He is active
in the community and serves on the Dona Ana County Health and Human
Services Alliance as the Vice Chair of the Executive Committee and
the Chair of the Policy Committee.
John is a Certified Strength
and Conditioning Specialist and holds a BS in Physical Education and
an MS in Athletic Administration and Sports Management from the University
of Wyoming. John, his wife Lisa and their three children reside in
Las Cruces.
