  and Simulation Laboratory. We use
  computer simulations, statistical and
  geographic analyses, and data
  visualization to study complex
  ecological systems. We’re especially
  interested in how those systems are
  influenced by environmental change,
  including changes in land use,
  habitat management interventions,
  climate change, and invasive
  species. The results of our studies
  help to advance ecological theory,   and also are directly applied to
  natural resource management and
  environmental policy through the   tools of ecological risk assessment.”
