Nepalese Students Association (NeSA), New Mexico State University (NMSU) is pleased to invite you to submit presentation and poster proposals for its Ninth International Conference entitled “Science and Technology -New Perspectives and Challenges”.

Conference aims

Science and Technology have influenced our life in many forms. Through research, innovation, and practice, science and technology have improved human welfare, provided better health, enhanced the living standards and protected our environment. In the recent times, science and technology have met unprecedented challenges such as budget cut, underfunding, workforce shortage and job switch. The future of science and technology relies on better government policies, strengthening STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education to fill the high demand jobs thereby increasing employment and fostering economic growth. Research and innovation are the benchmark for the progressive society; however, not all research can directly benefit humanity. Prioritizing research and education that benefits science and humanity is a wakeup call for tomorrow. Changing the current paradigm of science education is a need to develop affordable technologies that benefit the citizens of the world.

University-based science education has led many technological advances and transformed the society. While underfunding and economic recession have severely impacted science, technology, and education, new perspectives should be sought to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The NeSA Ninth International Conference focuses on these topics and seeks some views and ideas about how a researcher can contribute to the advancement of society and bring technologies to the general people. Along with this, the conference aims to provide a platform for scholars to present their academic research, views, and ideas. Keeping this in mind, the aims of this conference are:

  • To bring diversity through scholars from different departments of NMSU as well as different universities and countries.
  • To form a platform of positive changes by sharing knowledge.
  • To network with scholars across the country
  • To involve the local community and inform them about ongoing researches in which graduate and undergraduate students are involved.

Thus, this International Conference entitled ”Science and Technology- New Perspectives and Challenges” focuses on topics from the area of science, engineering, and technology. In addition, several sessions will include presentations on education, economics, culture and other disciplines. We are thrilled to keep NMSU community informed of diverse research in which students at NMSU and different universities are involved. Interested graduate, as well as undergraduate students from different disciplines, are invited and encouraged to present their ongoing research studies and related literature. One of the goals is to bring diversity at the conference and present scholarly research to the NMSU community, faculty, and students, and also to the attendees from outside NMSU
