RESEARCH INTERESTS

Initially, my research focus was in the area of social cognition, issues such as affective forecasting, temporal distance, and moral perception. Currently, my research has involved human performance in cognitive tasks, such as capacity limits in human memory and visual cognition as well as Applied Cognition and Human Factors. Recently, I have also been investigating some of the adaptive reasons for human memory systems, i.e., studying memory from an evolutionary perspective. One other interest I have is the philosophy of science and statistics, specifically alternatives to frequentist statistical inference.
