Grading

Grading will be done on the basis of points received on 7 homework assignments three exams and 20 short quizzes:

Homework (7) 140 pts
Class Participation 30 pts
Short quizzes (web based) 20 pts
Midterm Exam 1 60 pts
Midterm Exam 2 100 pts
Final Exam 150 pts
Total: 500 pts

Following scheme will be used for letter grading:

>400 pts

A
350-400 pts

B
270-350 pts

C

200-270 pts

D

Homework will consist of one assignment per two weeks (20 points maximum per homework). Quizzes will be offered on a weekly basis (one point worth unless stated otherwise).
