Exercise on Drawing Lewis Structures

Be patient, the drawing board needs some time to download.
Draw the lowest energy Lewis structure of a molecule (or an ion) that you are requested to analyze: Include all the electrons as:
- bonds (single, double or triple),
- lone pairs (use LP button to change their number on each atom) and
- unpaired electrons (use Rad button to change the number on each atom),
- you will need to label the formal charges if they are nonzero (use + and - buttons to change their values on each atom) . Click the "Check Answer" button for evaluation. After three unsuccessful attempts for the same structure, you have the opportunity to see the correct answer by clicking on the "Show Answer" button. Click the "New Molecule" to get another molecule. If you have it as an assignment, you can submit the answer to your instructor by clicking "Submit your score". Remember that you can always scratch your score and start again by refreshing the page.
