IE 561: Advanced Safety Engineering

Course Description

The main focus of the course is on practical methods to improve safety in the workplace. The perspective is that of an engineer who is concerned with product or workplace safety. This is a very broad subject, so the course is introductory in nature.

As in previous offerings of this course, there is a combination of handouts, pre-recorded video tapes, contact between the instructor and students and electronic interaction, via WebCT, to provide you with a maximum amount of scheduling flexibility as well as enhancing the quality and rapidity of feedback.
