Welcome to our group’s homepage within the Plant and Environmental Science Department and Water Science and Management Graduate Program at NMSU. Our lab’s vision is to advance understanding of geochemistry, energy production, environmental protection, and hydrology through a combination of fundamental research and application to real-world problems. We have a diverse group of multidisciplinary scientists in a variety of specific research areas spanning emerging contaminant cleanup to proteomics and metabolomics. We employ an integrated approach to research and investigate processes from the molecular to the basin scale.

Our lab is committed to providing a secure and inclusive environment for everyone, regardless of race, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, socio-economic status, or physical/mental disability. Diversity drives innovation. An inclusive scientific community with a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences can draw important ideas to answer and solve problems that maximize innovation and creativity. As a group, we strive to continue building a comprehensive culture that encourages, advocates, and celebrates the many voices of our scientific community, which enhances scientific advancements for the benefit of humanity.
